What is SSC CHSL?
SSC CHSL, abbreviated as SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level is a computer based online exam, which is currently ongoing across the country. The first session of the online test was conducted on the 7th day of the month of January. And the multiple sessions of the exam were held on 8th February 2017. The exam constitute of the Tier 1, which is online mode of exam. It is one of its own kind of exam, to be held for the first time in the country.
The question paper format consists of 4 different sections. Namely General Intelligence, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude as well as General Awareness. Although, the paper was a bit twisted, the difficulty level of the paper was considered to be moderate.
The number of vacancies to be offered to the candidates who will clear SSC CHSL 2016 is 5134. The Vacancies include posts such as Data Entry Operator, Lower Division Clerk, Postal Assistant as well as Sorting Assistant and Court Clerk. The result of Tier 1 exam is expected to be announced on the official website of SSC in the month of February. The Candidates securing more marks than cut off would be shortlisted for the Tier 2 round of SSC CHSL. The exam for the same will be held on 9th April, 2017.
With the changing scenario, the popularity of SSC CHSL has been increased to a large extent. With the changed paper pattern as well as with the change in format of exam, it is expected that the cut off for the SSC CHSL would be higher compared to the earlier exams.
Schedule Of Examination
If we describe the Paper format of SSC CHSL Tier 2, it would be a paper of 100 marks. The exam would be held in an offline mode. Candidates will get 1 Hour to finish their paper. The paper consists of sections such as Essay Writing, Letter/Application Writing. Candidates are offered with 2 languages to choose from i.e. Hindi and English.
Process Of Receiving Admit Card For Examination
The Admit Card of the SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam would be sent to the candidates in March 2017. Generally, the Admit Cards are released 15 days prior to the date when Exam is to be held. The Admit Cards consists of the details about candidates such as Timing of Exams, Venue of Exam, Registration Number of Candidate as well as Roll Number of the Candidate.
The candidates clearing SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam, would be shortlisted for Tier 3 Exam. It is a Skill as well as Typing Test to be held at Commission’s Regional Offices. For appearing in SSC CHSL, the candidate should have completed his 10+2 or any such equivalent exam from any recognized Education Board or University of our country.
Eligibility Criteria for Apperaring
Any person of the age group between 18 to 27 Years is eligible for appearing in SSC CHSL. Registration Fees for the same is Rs. 100/- Female Candidates, Reserved Category and Physically Challenged Candidates are exempted from the registration fees.
Note: A Candidate must be careful while documentation, as the SSC doesn’t entertain the corrections in later stages of the Exams.
